When a claim happens, the first thing to do is call. Here's who to call, and in what order.
We're your broker: if you're not sure who to call, start here and we'll put you in touch with the insurer and open the claim report.
Call the assistance number of your motor policy's insurer: it appears on the back of your payment receipt, in your policy schedule and in your e-client area. Have your registration plate, policy number and exact location to hand.
For a domestic emergency — a water leak, an electrical fault, a lock — use the assistance number on your home or community policy. If the damage can be contained (turning off the water supply, switching off the power), do so before calling.
Your health policy will have an emergency number and an authorisations number. For a life-threatening emergency, always call 112 first.
Call us. In a multi-risk, liability or transport claim, how the report is opened and documented shapes everything that follows.
The specific assistance number depends on which insurer holds each policy, and appears in your policy schedule and your e-client area. Just below you'll find the directory by insurer and line of business; if yours isn't listed, call us and we'll give it to you right away.
Search for your insurer and your policy's line of business. If your insurer isn't listed or the number has changed, call us and we'll give it to you right away.
